1、Is the Horizontal Slurry Pumps a centrifugal pump? How does a centrifugal pump work?
Horizontal Slurry pumps is a kind of centrifugal pump,the impeller is installed in the pump casing and fastened to the pump shaft, which is directly driven by the motor. There is a liquid suction and suction pipe in the center of the pump casing. The liquid enters the pump through the bottom valve and suction pipe. The liquid discharge port on the pump casing is connected with the discharge pipe.
Before the Slurry pump starts, the pump casing is filled with the liquid to be conveyed; after starting, the impeller is driven by the shaft to rotate at a high speed, and the liquid between the blades must also rotate with it. Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid is thrown from the center of the impeller to the outer edge and obtains energy, leaving the outer edge of the impeller at a high speed and entering the volute pump casing. In the volute, the liquid is decelerated due to the gradual expansion of the flow channel, and part of the kinetic energy is converted into static pressure energy, and finally flows into the discharge pipeline at a higher pressure and sent to the required place. When the liquid flows from the center of the impeller to the outer edge, a certain vacuum is formed in the center of the impeller. Since the pressure above the liquid level of the storage tank is greater than the pressure at the inlet of the slurry pump, the liquid is continuously pressed into the impeller. It can be seen that as long as the impeller rotates continuously, the liquid will be continuously sucked in and discharged.
2、What are the characteristics of horizontal slurry pumps?
DEPUMP®Horizontal slurry pumps using mechanical seals, most parts can be interchanged, and the service life is longer;
Simple operation and convenient maintenance;
DEPUMP® horizontal slurry pumps has low operating noise and small vibration;
Strong and durable, long service life, spacious flow channel, good corrosion resistance.
3、Application of horizontal slurry pumps
DEPUMP® horizontal slurry pumps is used to transport ore slurry or other heavy medium liquid weighting agent, and the slurry concentration is up to 50%. It is an indispensable equipment for conveying ore, sediment and ash in metallurgy, mining, coal, construction and other departments. It is mainly used for conveying concentrate slurry and discharging tailing in concentrate. It can also be used for conveying medium in coal preparation plant, conveying high-temperature and easy-to-crystallize slurry in aluminum plant, and conveying slurry in cement plant, etc.
4、How does a horizontal slurry pumps work?
DEPUMP® horizontal slurry pumps is driven by the motor to transfer through the V-belt pulley, and the impeller under the solid shaft is adjusted and rotated clockwise. The slurry enters the pump chamber through the feeding port, and the slurry is output under the action of the impeller.
DEPUMP® horizontal slurry pumps produced by DEPUMP® TECHNOLOGY mainly include MAH heavy duty slurry pumps, MAHR rubber line slurry pump, MHH high lift slurry pumps, ML light duty slurry pumps, MZJ slurry pump , MG gravel pumps, etc.
Horizontal Slurry Pumps has a wide performance range, good cavitation performance and high efficiency. Multi-stage tandem technology can be used to meet long-distance transportation. There are a variety of metals available for the over-current parts, and increase the depth. The use of multiple speeds and multiple variants makes the pump run under the best industrial and mining conditions. It has a long service life and high operating efficiency, and can meet many types of harsh conveying conditions.Suitable for mining and chemical industry.
The Horizontal Slurry Pumps is connected to a tank or hopper and uses gravity to move slurry and liquid from the enclosure. Located at the bottom or below the water, the pump uses the force of gravity to continuously fill the pump and then passes the material out through the discharge valve.
Horizontal Slurry Pumps mainly includes MAH Heavy Duty Slurry Pump, MAHR Rubber Lined Slurry Pump, MHH High Head Slurry Pump, ML Light Slurry Pump, MZJ Slurry Pump, MG Gravel Pump, etc. If you want to know more, you can send us an email and we will get back to you soon.
Gravel sand pump is a type of centrifugal pump that is used to transfer sand and gravel from one place to another. It is commonly used in the mining, construction, and dredging industries. Gravel sand pumps are designed for heavy-duty applications and are capable of handling abrasive and corrosive materials.
Sludge slurry pump is a type of centrifugal pump that is specifically designed to handle heavy, viscous or abrasive slurries, sludges, or thick fluids that contain solid particles.
A slurry pump is a type of centrifugal pump that is used to transport dense or abrasive slurries, typically containing solid particles or abrasive materials such as sand, gravel, or rocks. Slurry pumps are designed to handle these types of fluids and can be used in a variety of applications such as mining, construction, wastewater treatment, and chemical processing. They are typically used in processing plants to transfer fluids from one processing point to another, often over long distances or through difficult terrain. Slurry pumps are available in various designs, including horizontal, vertical, and submersible configurations, and are often made from tough wear-resistant materials such as hardened metals or ceramics to withstand the harsh environment in which they operate.
Coal Mine Slurry Pump is a type of pump that is specifically designed to handle abrasive and viscous slurries that are typically found in coal mining operations. These pumps are high-pressure, heavy-duty, and capable of handling large volumes of slurry materials.
Diesel slurry pumps are used to transfer slurry or muddy liquids in mining, construction, sewage treatment, and other industrial applications. The diesel engine is used to power the pump, making it easy to operate in remote locations without access to electricity.
The ceramic slurry pump is used in a variety of industries, including mining, chemical processing, pulp and paper, and wastewater treatment. It is especially useful for transferring slurries of heavy minerals, coal, and other solids in high concentrations.
